Thompson Design specializes in the design of equestrian facilities, including stables, arenas, and outbuildings. Thompson Designs has over 30 years in the field of landscape and design and has completed designs for numerous private equestrian facilities. The combination of a strong background in the field of Landscape and Design and the working understanding of the daily facility operations lends itself to a design that is unique, functional, and comprehensive in its planning and engineering. Thompson Design brings each project to the unique combination of experience in the practice of Architecture, an understanding of horse behavior, equine management, and equestrian activities combined with architectural training provides a comprehensive perspective on horse barn planning and designs. This combination of experiences insures the synthesis of the demands of both the humans and equine occupants into a functional and horse-friendly environment.

Thompson Designs has designed horse facilities locally, nationally, and internationally. Our design experience ranges from the planning of entire farms to individual barns and buildings. We realize and understand that unlike traditional architecture, the equine design focuses on the health, safety, and comfort of horses.
